List Ease
Interaction Design Foundation Project
Objective – Uncover opportunities for features in list apps that solved unmet user needs and incorporate those features into a new product
My role – I was responsible for all stages in this solo project: user research, UX, visual design and prototyping
I followed the design thinking methodology to guide my project:

Affinity Diagram
I interviewed eight people who use lists on a regular basis. The goal was to understand their habits, motivations, and pain points.

Personas
Based on my interviews, I identified two main types of people who would use a list app. These formed the basis for the User Personas.

Competitive Analysis

Customer Journey Map
I explored the steps a user currently takes when using a list. I analyzed each stage and looked for opportunities to improve the user experience.

User Flows
I noticed a number of users who liked writing lists on paper and then taking photos of them when they planned to use them.
Other users’ lists would become long and hard to manage.
How Might We:
- HMW better handle photos of lists?
- HMW improve list item management?

Sketching and Wireframing

Prototyping and Testing
During the rapid prototyping and testing phase, I discovered numerous ways to improve the overall user experience.

Style guide and Accessibility

Interactive Demo
For user testing, I created an interactive prototype to observe them accomplishing two tasks.
